Our Shared Living Program is designed for adults who can live independently while enjoying the benefits of community living.
Together We Care provides safe, supportive, and dignified shared housing for independent adults including seniors, veterans, re-entry individuals, traveling nurses, and students. This qualification sheet outlines the eligibility requirements needed to be considered for placement in our Shared Living Program.
Applicants should be able to manage most daily living activities on their own, including personal hygiene, simple meal preparation, safe movement around the home, dressing, medication management, and basic housekeeping.
Applicants may qualify with mild, stable health conditions, manageable medication needs, and routine appointments. They should not require skilled nursing, specialized memory care, or 24-hour supervision. A medical assessment may be required.
Applicants must show safe and appropriate behavior, avoid aggression, threats, violence, or disruptive conduct, and be willing to live respectfully and cooperatively with other residents.
Applicants must have a guaranteed income source, such as Social Security, pension, VA benefits, disability, annuity, employment, or other documented income. Proof of income will be required.
Applicants must not pose a risk to themselves or others, should be able to exit the home independently in emergencies, and must be willing to follow safety and emergency.
Residents must agree to follow program rules, participate in routine check-ins, communicate needs respectfully, and contribute to a positive shared living environment.
Require skilled nursing or 24-hour medical supervision

Display violent, aggressive, or unsafe behaviors
Are unable to manage ADLs independently
Have untreated substance misuse issues
Cannot provide proof of guaranteed monthly income
